Ask Alex: Lilith and Kali

Hello from Denmark. I just surfed right into you website, and was amazed by your article about Lilith. My question is: Is Lilith the same person as Kali? I had this weird dream about Kali last night. A big blue figure with long black hair. She had lost her head, and I tried to put it on again. Under her head there was a lot of other heads. The one I put on again was her true head. I don’t know a lot about Kali, but I knew her for sure in my dream. I would very much like your comment on this. Thank you.

No, Lilith is not the same person as Kali, because in truth, Kali is not real, i.e. she does not actually exist, whilst Lilith is most definitely real, as real as you or I, it’s just that she doesn’t live on this world!

Kali is essentially just an invention of Hindu priests. I believe all religions to be dangerous because they are essentially control mechanisms, and all are ferociously anti-women.

Your dream, with respect, is not to do with the image of Kali, it is symbolising you finding your true self, your matriarchal self, your ‘right head’ if you like. The dream tells you that you are emerging from a conditioned patriarchal way of thinking, into a free self-aware matriarchal personage, so the dream is very very good.

Royal blue is the colour which represents pure femininity, so again, it symbolises your feminine power rising.
